Dr. Disha Saxena — Consultant in Delhi NCR

Dr. Disha Saxena is a Consultant at Sarvodaya Hospital, Faridabad, in Delhi NCR, with more than 11 years of experience in nephrology.

Her list covers chronic kidney disease, diabetic nephropathy, glomerulonephritis, nephrotic syndrome and lupus nephritis, haemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis, percutaneous renal biopsy, and transplant care from pre-transplant evaluation through follow-up and graft dysfunction management.

She read MBBS at Government Medical College in Surat, took her MD in internal medicine at Pt. BDS PGIMS in Rohtak, and her DM in nephrology at SMS Medical College in Jaipur.

Her research is wider than her clinical list, and the two kidney papers in it are the ones that matter most for her practice. In 2024 she published on pregnancy-related acute kidney injury as a cause of chronic kidney disease in developing countries in the Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology of India, and on acute kidney injury in chronic liver disease in northwest India in the Indian Journal of Nephrology. Both describe kidney failure arising from a condition outside the kidney, which is where much of the acute work in the specialty comes from.

Her earlier papers were written from general medicine. They cover gender-specific risk factors and outcomes in amoebic liver abscess in the Indian Journal of Gastroenterology in 2023, late onset seronegative systemic sclerosis in Reumatismo in 2019, the spectrum of macrocytic anaemia in adults in 2018, and a rare association of malaria with cardiomyopathy and thrombotic microangiopathy in the Erciyes Medical Journal the same year.

She is a member of the Indian Society of Nephrology and the Indian Society of Organ Transplantation.
