Transplant heads the clinical list, in three forms: bone marrow transplant, autologous stem cell transplant and haploidentical bone marrow transplant. The third of these uses a half-matched family donor, and is what allows a patient without a matched sibling or registry donor to be treated at all.

His degrees were taken across three states. He read MBBS at BJ Government Medical College in Pune, took his MD in general medicine at King George Medical College in Lucknow, and completed his DM in clinical hematology at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences in New Delhi.

His posts have followed the same route. He was at AIIMS in New Delhi and at King George Medical College in Lucknow, then at BLK-MAX Hospital in New Delhi, Sarvodaya Hospital in Faridabad and Action Balaji Cancer Hospital in New Delhi, before his current unit at Fortis Shalimar Bagh.
